Hello, my name is Elliot and I love surveys!

Market Research is all about revealing insights and telling stories to help people make informed decisions. I believe research should be more accessible and I want to help those with limited budgets but big research aspirations to achieve their goals. And with Fern Insight - The Survey Expert, I am here to help! 

I have over a decade's worth of research experience working with big brands and have worked for both agencies and client-side, most recently at non-profit, Ben Automotive. Along the way I've picked up an MRS Advanced Certificate and LSE Advanced Data Career Certificate too. At Ben, I run brand trackers, industry health & wellbeing surveys and customer satisfaction studies for care centres and helplines. But now I want to help others too. Complex surveys & Reporting

  • Reviewing - Using your research objective, I can help review or test by looking at wording, routing, randomisations, balance and flow while ensuring it adheres to the MRS code of conduct.

  • Programming - From the simple to the complex, I can build your survey online, test it and brand it to ensure the survey maximises the insights you need. I build engaging surveys that are user-friendly and optimised for desktop & mobile, ensuring a seamless experience for your respondents

  • Outputs - I can provide a number of outputs including a simple export of results, CSV, Excel, PDF, WordClouds & Crosstabs

  • Analysis - I'll find the insights in relation to your research objectives and can look to provide nets, statistical testing, analytics, Conjoint analysis, TURF and gather themes for your open-ended questions using Text Analytics

  • Reporting - Happy to provide you with a Word Summary Report accompanied with charts, a PowerPoint report or dashboard (Looker). All reporting will provide up-front key-takeouts

  • Storytelling - Insights are nothing without a good story to leave an impact on your audience. Using Knaflic's Storytelling with data as a guide, I will look to give you a data story that leaves your audience with a key insight or motivation to take action

  • Are you short on time? I'm happy to get lost in books, academic papers and the latest industry reports to generate literature reviews for your business needs. Market research literature reviews comprises of information from a number of sources, including printed literature, industry profiles, news articles, podcasts on Spotify and journal articles

  • These are written to give a broad overview of what has been written recently, who the key authors are on a subject, the questions that are being asked, and what criticism those works have received

  • I identify similarities and contradictions in the literature (and the gaps!) to ensure that you have the information you need in an easily accessible format for review.
